Daria Porter is a community-centered therapist who works with individuals navigating trauma, identity exploration, and the emotional impact of systemic stress. Her approach is grounded in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and harm-reduction principles, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, safety, and client-led care.
Daria specializes in supporting QTBIPOC clients, justice-involved individuals, transitional-age youth, and people impacted by housing insecurity, disability, or institutional harm. She works with clients processing complex trauma, chronic stress, burnout, major life transitions, and experiences that have left them feeling misunderstood, judged, or constrained in previous therapeutic settings.
Her work is shaped by extensive experience in community-based and higher-acuity behavioral health settings, giving her a grounded understanding of how systems, relationships, and environments affect emotional wellbeing. Daria approaches therapy with cultural humility and systemic awareness, honoring each client’s lived experience while supporting growth, stability, and self-understanding.
Daria strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to define healing on their own terms. At the core of her work is the belief that healing happens through meaningful connection, authenticity, and compassionate support.
Daria offers therapy in Italian, Gullah Geechee Creole, and can provide supportive, conversational use of Spanish as needed. Her multilingual and multicultural background allows her to work thoughtfully with clients navigating cross-cultural experiences, language-related stress, and identity concerns.
